PAT BROCKMAN
Head of School Governance Team
Pat represents the team on the Divisional Management Team (Directorate Management Team).
He leads the contribution of the Governance Team to School Performance Group and to the Education Development Plan. Pat also delivers a number of training sessions across a wide range of governance topics as well as clerking in different settings. Pat leads the Directorate work on federation and also coordinates the team's support for governing bodies of schools causing concern.

CAROL FLETCHER
Governor Support Officer
Carol manages the deployment, work quality, training and briefing of 20 clerks as well as in-school clerks. She is responsible for leading on the delivery for the National Training Programme for Clerks. Carol is also a highly respected clerk in her own right of several governing bodies and her knowledge of governance law, disciplinary and appeals committees and procedures is extensive.

JOHN LAWTON
Governor Training Manager
John plans and manages the programme of central and in-house training. He also delivers training across a wide range of governance topics. He monitors the quality of the service. He publishes an annual programme of courses. In addition to a regularly updated governor handbook of guidance and good practice, John supports the directorate on the complaints procedure for schools.
